CITY CARTON / OCKENFELS FAMILY CHARITY GOLF OUTING RAISES RECORD AMOUNT

According to a company release, a record $97,300 was raised at the City Carton Recycling / Ockenfels Family Foundation 14th Annual Charity Golf Outing to help fight childhood cancer. City Carton is the parent company of NAID Active Member company Document Destruction and Recycling Services with operations across the state of Iowa.

The proceeds from the event benefit the American Cancer Society’s (ACS) children’s programs through the “Debbie Ockenfels - Kids Rock!” Foundation and to “The Heart Connection” - a camp for kids with cancer and their siblings. All Outing expenses are paid by the Ockenfels Family Foundation. The Outing is held in memory of Deborah Ockenfels, daughter of City Carton Recycling founders Mort and Marcy Ockenfels. Deborah died of cancer at the age of 17.

Over $561,900 has been raised and donated to the American Cancer Society and children’s cancer programs since the start of the Charity Golf Outing 14 years ago.
