SMALL DISPOSAL INCIDENTS ARE NOW BIG NEWS
 
An article posted on July 23rd to the website of West Palm Beach, FL-based, WPTV reports of an employment agency that discarded personal information in a trash bag. The report links to a video report aired by the TV Station on the incident.
 
According to the report the owner invoked the “employee error” defense. 
 
Editor’s Note: This incident does not stand out for any particular reason. Its significance is that it reflects the scale of incidents that are being reported by the news. It seems that the media is waking up to the fact that even seemingly minor incidents of improper disposal put consumers at risk.
