PERSONAL INFORMATION FOUND ON COUNTY ROAD

A report by Kevin Holmes posted to the website of Memphis, TN-based ABC24-WPTY and CW30-WLMT on July 10th, states that personal records, such as W-2 forms and tax forms with names, addresses and social security numbers, were found strewn around a county road just outside the city limits.

The materials are the discarded records of a defunct furniture manufacturer according to the article. The report also states that past employees of the firm are upset by the event and local authorities are investigating who is responsible. Tennessee law requires this information be destroyed prior to being discarded.
