DR. LOSES LICENSE FOR IMPROPERLY DISCARDING MEDICINE

An article posted to the website of the Grand Forks Herald on July 22nd reports that a doctor who runs a chain of emergency care clinics there has lost his license to practice medicine, in part because he had an employee discard returned pharmaceuticals in a dumpster. According to the article, the North Dakota State Board of Medical Examiners took the action because the doctor’s behavior created a significant risk of serious and on-going harm to the public.
