SASKATCHEWAN PRIVACY COMMISSIONER CALLS FOR STRONGER DATA PROTECTION LAWS
 
According to a report posted to Yahoo News Canada on July 3rd, the Privacy Commissioner Gary Dickson, in his annual report, is calling for a major overhaul of the Saskatchewan’s data protection laws, including a substantial strengthening,.
 
Among the incidents cited by the Commissioner in the report is the abandonment of records in a manner that puts citizens’ personal information at risk.
