MOBILE SHRED TRUCKS BLAMED FOR PARKING INCONVENIENCES
According to an article by Shawn Logan of Calgary, BC-based Sun Media, the local government is losing patience with mobile paper-shredding companies hogging valuable parking spots in the downtown core, resulting in some local politicians calling for trucks to be towed or have wheel locks applied.
The city recently increased the fines on such parking violation from $40 to $200.
According to the report, incidents increased from about 19 per month to 22. From
NAIDDirects’ perspective, that is fairly insignificant for a city with a population of more than a million people.
Maybe the city leaders would do better to turn their attention to the thousands of local citizens who have their privacy violated every day by businesses who casually discard confidential information.
