MEDICAL FILES FOUND IN TEXAS PARKING LOT
 
Television station KBTX of College Station, TX reported on March 30th that it has uncovered thousands of documents with private patient information abandoned in an unsecured public place.  The TV station said it was able to obtain about 80 records from the site, according to the report. 
 
The television station used the discovery as a launching point for a 3-part series highlighting the risks of allowing personal information to fall into the wrong hands.
