NAID Marks 15 Years of Service
On March 3, 2009, the National Association for Information Destruction officially marked the completion of its 15th year of service to the secure destruction industry.
In commenting on the milestone, NAID founder and executive director Bob Johnson said, “While I am certainly proud of NAID’s performance and achievements so far, I am even more excited about the next 15 years. Thanks to overwhelming member support and a highly-qualified, dedicated staff, the association is in a position to do some great things for the industry.”
Johnson said that he never thought the association would rise to the prominence it now enjoys. About the founding of NAID Johnson says, “When I was in the business throughout the ‘80s and early ‘90s, I wished we had an industry association to fight for us. It turns out that a lot of others agreed.”
